Guide to Leap Day traditions.

Women Propose To Men And Other Leap Year Traditions

It’s Leap Year again and that means this year we’re blessed with an extra day. Monday, February 29 is Leap Day and it comes with a host of traditions and superstitions.

In the fifth century legend says that Irish Saint Brigid asked Saint Patrick to allow women to propose to men who were slow to pop the question.

In Scotland Leap Year is considered bad luck and a time when crops are sure to fail.

Leaplings, or people born on Leap Day have created their own online society called the Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies.
