US Army Short On Recruits, Service Needs 8,000 More

The US Army hasn’t reached its recruiting goal this year and its more than likely they’re not going to.

For the first time in 6 years the army has been unable to recruit the 60,000 new soldiers it needs to replace those who have left the service.

The other services Air Force, Marines and Navy, have all met their recruiting goals, but changes in recruiting methods along with a drop in signing bonuses and an up economy have combined to hurt the army.
