A Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy will be charged with vehicular manslaughter for crashing his patrol car into a 72-year-old woman at 85 mph in September 2014.
A ten month investigation faulted the deputy for running a red light and plowing into the woman’s car. Officials said there was no way she could have seen the patrol coming even though he was running with full lights and sirens.
This isn’t the first on duty crash the deputy has been in.
