Heald and Everest Colleges Close Down After $30 Million Fine

The America education system took another hit last week when the parent company of Heald and Everest Colleges closed its doors for good effectively kicking out 16,000 students.

Corinthian Colleges Inc. shut down following an investigation by the Department of Education.

Corinthian, which posted $1.6 billion in revenue during 2014 was investigated for inflating its student’s employment rates and predatory advertising and was later fined $30 million.

The for profit college continued to enroll students right up to the point it closed its doors.
