One Valley Town Doesn’t Want To Conserve Water During California Drought

The California state water board released a number of restrictions designed to curb the state’s water consumption last week, but Bakersfield is looking for an exemption.

City officials joined about 200 other business and special interests groups who complained that the state’s water cuts were to deep.

The city has conserved so little water, it was the California city most likely to run out of water last summer, but that didn’t matter to city leaders who kept the water spray parks running through the hot and dry summer.
